Veronica started singing at the tender age of 5 at the Walker Missionary Baptist Church in NYC. Her mom insisted that she start taking classical piano lessons at the age of 6 and she began playing drums at the age of 12. She composed her first song at the age of 13 and begin penning a long list of songs.
She was the Director for three choirs when her parents were Pastors of a ministry in The Bronx NY. At the age of19 she began a short stint as an actress on the Broadway Production of "The Lord Will Make A Way" Gospel Opera starring Twinkie Clark Terrell at the Lamb's Theater. And An Off Broadway Production "Sing on Ms. Griot" at The National Black Theater in Harlem. While appearing in this production she was asked to record a music demo for A local Queens Production Team called D'Jazz. This recording led to countless Club appearances. She began an exciting stint as a R&B /Funk/Rock singer became a local fixture in the Village clubs such as Kenny's Castaway's, The Lion's Den, The Bitter end etc.. And midtown Manhattan at club Savage and Lebar bat and Lola. While rehearsing with her band she was heard by a local producer who asked her to sing on a project called "The R&R Soul Orchestra” which led to her being signed with the Soul/R&B group to a Record deal with RCA Records in 1997.
After a disappointing tenure with management and fulfilling her contract, she decided to move on to other projects and reposition her life in God and was inspired to begin penning some Wonderful Gospel/ Inspirational songs.
Today she is a highly sought after Vocalist/ Songwriter/ and Arranger. She has sung on and written songs for such artist as Minister and Friends, recorded and written a duet with Singer/Actor Christopher Williams. Sang Background for Stephanie Mills, Tony Terry, D'atra Hicks, Live, Tears for Fears, Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees, Sinead O'Conner, Kim Wilde the group 10 CC Simple Minds, BET's Angela Striibling. And has written and arranged and vocal coached various aspiring artists albums.
She has performed and Toured with The world Famous Harlem Gospel Choir to 17 Countries. She has performed for Elton John, Appeared on Oprah, Good Morning America, And for the Pope for the Concert of Hope @ Yankee Stadium, FOX 5 News in NYC, TOP CHEF, and on the Comedy Channel and sang at Madison Square Garden with The Concert@the Garden Mass Choir for Arrow Records, and Sang the NAtional Anthem for The NY Knicks. Performed @ BBKings in NYC
She has just completed her 1st solo C.D project Tentatively entitled "SoulSpiration". And is currently honing her craft as a Playwright, Actor and developing music for Film and Stage Plays. Recently cast in a principle role for the Independent Film 'Sister Spotlight’ Directed by Jarret Grady Due for release dtba.
She has recently performed with The Mack band @ Toshi's Living Room in NYC, Oasis in Baldwin NY
